You'll want to have a specific wardrobe picked out for your boudoir session. Spend some time looking through Instagram, Pinterest, and Fashion magazines, to get a sense for the style of photo that you find intimate and appealing. Then, starting with your current wardrobe, check out your favorite feel-good wear. What is the look that you will go for in your photoshoot? Casual morning vibes? Drop dead bombshell? Cozy reading day? Sultry? “Behind the scenes” glamour?
What makes you feel sexy? What are the clothes you naturally reach for when you want to impress yourself or show off for someone else?
When it comes to lingerie, I recommend having at least 2 sets for your session, though more is always better. It’s a good idea to have a wide variety mixed between matching bra and panty sets, teddies / body suits, and simple nighties. I also recommend that all my clients bring a few tight T-shirts, old tank tops, bulky luxurious sweaters, and oversized button-down shirts. Consider bringing a pair of boxers to complete a more relaxed look. The moral here is that more outfits leads to a greater variety in your finished images. When you arrive, we can look through what you have brought and determine a progression throughout your session.
Phone a Friend
It can often be hard to see what makes us look our best. If you have a particularly fashion-savvy friend, invite them to help you comb through your closet and / or shop around fashion boutiques to find an outfit that will flatter your figure while also making you feel comfortable and unquestionably beautiful and relaxed.Something of Your Partner’s
Bring something that belongs to your partner - for example, a button-down shirt or a tie. You could also bring something from a shared experience - think a piece of jewelry you bought on your first vacation together. Or you could go the other way and introduce something from a future experience - that fancy watch, necklace, etc. that you will give them along with your photos.

Raid Your Closet
We all love shopping for new clothes to make ourselves feel sexy, but don’t forget to look through your closet first! Look for a see-through or lace blouse, a soft sweater you can pull off your shoulders, a vest or sleeveless sweater. Any unique or cropped tops can be cute with panties too. Look for something that you instinctually gravitate towards when you want to feel sexy or show off for someone special.
All About the Curves
Lean toward clothes that will accentuate your curves. Bustiers are a great way to create curves and enhance cleavage while one-piece lingerie or leotards can be great for calling attention to your hips. We will also work with you to find the perfect pose and angle to highlight your favorite features.
Highlight Your Legs
Almost every woman brings fishnets and/or thigh highs to her session. My number one suggestion is if you plan to wear them with a garter belt, buy the kind without the plastic stay ups. If you plan to not wear a garter, then the plastic stay ups are a must. Garters can also be a sexy add-on to any panty and bra set.
Don’t Be Afraid of Color
Black lingerie is classic. It goes with everything and works in both color and black and white images. That said, don’t forget about colors! The more variety the better. Red is a particularly flattering color on most women, but when in doubt, go with your favorite color.
Make a Statement with Jewelry
Don’t forget jewelry. A statement necklace can help to draw attention to your chest or collarbones depending upon the shot. Bring a few choices in earrings and rings as well. Long necklaces make for great props and anything reflective can help to add drama to an image.
Don’t forget to bring some killer high heels! Nude heels can go with many outfit choices. Black heels are a staple. Bring them even if you don’t intend to wear them—they’re a great prop in many photos. Try to stay away from platforms and wedges.
